“GreenCo” was established in 2003. The project has become the fist program in Ukraine, creating a new culture waste usage, associating its transportation, sorting and further delivery of useful components on the recycle materials’ market and safe utilization of remains which can not be processed again. There appeared many difficulties on the way of the project implementation – non-transparence f the waste transportation market, secondary raw materials market, interfacing markets, low rates for waste removal, normative base imperfection, lack of social awareness of separate waste collection. Step by step due to the efforts of the company founders and management the situation has changed for better, and now “GreenCo” can definitely claim that the company has laid a solid base for implementation of European experience of solid domestic waste control in national scale.
The main stages of group development:
2003 – establishment of the company “GreenCo” and transport company “GreenCo-Auto” for solid domestic waste removal in Kiev
2005 – start of the company “GreenCo-Kiev” and implementation of the first in the country plant “GreenCo-Center” – frankly historical event in ecological life of Ukraine.
A really forward step for the company was opening of the regional enterprises of the Group:
2006 – “GreenCo-Don”, “GreenCo- Zhytomir” were registered
2007 – “GreenCo-Dnepr”
2008 – GreenCo-Nikolaev”, “GreenCo – Frankovsk”, “GreenCo Cherkassi”, “GreenCo-Zaporozhye” were registered
